For becoming a Neurologist, after completion of Bachelor degree in Medicine and Surgery, Candidate has to study MD/ MS/ DNB or DM in Neurology. Normally it takes 10 – 12 years to become a complete neurologist. Other than Neurologist, there is also a chiropractic neurologist who serves in the same manner in consulting but difference is that, therapies or application of chiropractic does not involve drugs or interventional or surgical techniques.

Now days there are various sub-specialty and fellowships available which are offered by Medical Colleges in the field of stroke & neurophysiology, epilepsy, movement disorders, sleep, neuromuscular disorders, neuro-immunology. But most of the Doctors wish to pursue this sub and super specialty in mostly abroad, which can give doctors an edge over others."
