Adams Street fair San Diego as prime destination for entertainment and business by adams avenue busi
The street fair San Diego is definitely an annual community-driven music festival located within the Normal Heights district of San Diego. It's one of Southern California’s largest free of charge music street fairs. Each year, it features over 100 musical performances across eight stages in addition to four beer gardens, an array associated with carnival rides and over 300 disciplines & crafts and food vendors. Through the years, the street fair has played a pivotal role in raising understanding of local and regional talent and advertising the Adams Avenue Business District like a prime destination for entertainment and business.
Your Adams Avenue Street Fair will observe its 35th anniversary Sept. 24 and 25 which has a lineup featuring more than 90 musicians performing on seven stages on Adams Path, between 32nd and 35th streets.
Headlining acts to the free, all-ages music marathon include nationally acclaimed San diego roots-rock band the Beat Farmers, using Grammy Award-winning guest Dave Alvin; expert alt-rock band Sebadoh; the Sugaray Rayford Blues Wedding ring; Lisa Hayley and The Zydekats; and San diego blues mainstay Tomcat Courtney, who — at 87 — still averages four local performances 7 days.
The eclectic lineup also features neo-surf-rockers Mrs. Wizard, troubadour Gregory Page, Celtic-music champions Skelpin, your Dave Scott Jazz Ensemble, Sue Palmer & Your ex Motel Swing Orchestra, and The Minor Richards. Five of the stages are going to be outdoors, while two will be inside year-round Normal Heights music venues Lestat’s along with Java Joe’s.
