Rights Action Advocates firm was launched in April 1992 at Darussalam, Tanzania. Mrs. Magdalena K. Rwebangira has promoted the firm who has been practicing law since 1978. Rights Action Advocates started with only two staff an advocate and a Secretary. Currently, the firm is staffed with three practicing advocates of the High Court of Tanzania.

Rights Action Advocates focuses on corporate, institutional formation and development, commercial law, family, reproductive health, property and human rights law including legal aid and constitutionalism. The core areas of experience include formation of companies, due diligences in establishment of business, negotiating joint ventures including financing, guarantees and implementation conveyance instruments and processing transactions; attending negotiations, arbitration, implementation and evaluation meetings on behalf of clients. Others activities in the law firm include preparation and review of contracts, preparing and processing conveyance transactions, providing counsel and legal opinion, due diligence in financing agreements, joint ventures, liquidation/ insolvency, receivership, mortgages and other securities registration, company secretaries and litigation.
