Must Visit Places in Jodhpur

Achal Nath Shivalaya-
This beautiful temple was built by Rao Ganga's queen Nanak Devi in the year of 1531. It is made with Chittar stone, the different parts of the temple are Kirtan Bhawan, Garbh Griha and Mandap. The main attraction of this temple is the Ganga Bawari, which is a big water reservoir near the Shivlinga.
Jaswant Thada-
It is one of the most monument of this city which is situated in the left side of the Mehrangarh Fort. It is a royal and a pure white marble cenotaph. This beautiful cenotaph is mainly constructed in the memory of Maharaja Jaswant Singh. It has some unique portraits of Jodhpur's former rulers. In this cenotaph, the octagonal bungalow has been changed in the office of the Income Tax Department.
Raj Ranchhodji Temple-
This marvelous temple was built by Queen Jadechi Rajkanwar for her husband King Jaswant Singh. It is the red sandstone temple which has the Ranchhodji's statue that is constructed with black colored marble. It is beautifully designed with filigree work and the main door is designed with blue, green and yellow glasses.
Mehrangarh Fort-
This magnificent fort was constructed in the year of 1459 by Rao Jodha when he changed his capital from Mandore. Basically, most of the features are constructed by the other rulers of Jodhpur with passing time. It is the must visit tourist destination of this marvelous city of Rajasthan state. It attracts lots of tourists every year by its unique beauty and architecture. It has seven gates and the most popular among them is the Jayapol (vistory). This beautiful gate was made by Maharaja Man Singh to celebrate his victory over the armies of Bikaner and Jaipur. Another marvelous gate of this fort is Fatehpol which has the similar means of the Jayapol that is victory. It was constructed by Maharaja Ajit Singh to celebrate the defeat of the Mughals.
