Drilling machine: a detailed view to know it better

Drilling machine are the machine that basically grind, fleece off, puncture, counter, hole on surfaces. These machines come in various sizes and shapes. Small ones used for home repairs and heavy machines are used for heavy construction sites and larger are used in factories and workshops. They basically use lengthen, cylindrical steel bar in various diameters. Spindle: It is the major component in the drill that holds the drill or cutting bit

Sleeve/Quill: Primary holder of spindle system of dill. It can be moved parallel to its axis

Column: It is a solid circular beam that supports both the head of machine and worktable

Head: The part of machine is where the spindle, quill, motor, and feed mechanism are all attached

Worktable: The large flat surface on which object is placed to be drilled they can move vertically so that work van is done more easily

Base: It is the part of machine that holds and supports it

Types of drilling machine:

• Hand feed
• Power feed

Hand feed:

This machine is simplest and most common type of machine in use today. They are light weight machine that can be operated by hand these drilling machines can be bench or floor mounted

Power feed:

The power feed drilling machine are usually larger and heavier than the hand feed ones they are equipped with ability to feed the cutting tool in to work automatically
