The Gujarat government will consult all stake holders, including developers, while constituting the state real-estate regulatory authority RERA, Chief Minister Anandiben Patel said today. According to the Real-estate Regulation and Development Bill, 2015, approved by the Cabinet last week, the states and UTs need to establish the ‘Real-estate Regulatory Authority’ to regulate real-estate transactions the bill is still to be taken up for discussion and approval by Parliament. Patel added that the state government has addressed almost all the issues of the developers related to real-estate sector and at the same time the state government has taken various initiatives to ease down the registration process the Real-estate Regulation and Development Bill is framed with aim to protect the interest of consumers, promote fair play in real-estate transactions and to ensure timely execution of projects the Bill provides a uniform regulatory environment to ensure speedy adjudication of disputes and orderly growth of the real-estate sector.
It will boost domestic and foreign investment in the real-estate sector and help achieve the objective of the government to provide housing for all by enhanced private participation, according to a release the Bill ensures mandatory disclosure by promoters to the customers through registration of real-estate projects as well as real-estate agents with the Real-estate Regulatory Authority. The certificate course was attended by developer, developers, real-estate agents, housing finance institutions, architects, civil engineers and lawyers. Designed and coordinated by Anand Shrivas CCEL Research Fellow on Real-estate Laws, the course will be conducted across India to train real-estate professionals in the legal aspects of real-estate. At last, standing committee of Surat Municipal Corporation SMC has approved construction of cement roads worth around Rs 54 crore inside Pandesara GIDC. According to a civic officer the SMC is eligible to get Rs 39 crore and the project has been included in the state government’s critical infrastructure scheme.
The project now will be presented under the state government’s vital infrastructure scheme to get utmost funds. The remaining cost would be shared evenly by the civic body and the entrepreneurs of Pandesara GIDC. Pandesara industrial estate has over 600 textile processing, weaving, engineering, and chemical and other auxiliary units. Entrepreneurs of Pandesara are happy that the standing committee has given a go ahead to the road construction proposal as this was sufficiently needed since a last couple of years. The industrial units have been facing problems since the last five years such as big pot holes and crater such as formations on the roads due to the plying of heavy vehicles and water tankers had made the things tough for the entrepreneurs, staff, visitors and workers.
