Some people like maintaining privacy not inside the home but outside as well. While there are many who don’t like hiding things much and it is all a matter of personal preference. Same as we use curtain, coverings, sheets to prevent privacy inside the home to make a decorative touch. The same trend is moving outside, people are decorating their patios, garden, porch with these draperies to add a classical touch.
In recent time, outdoor curtains have become are more exposed to the world. People moved towards outdoor style and started using sheets as a porch enclosure. These seem to serve two purposes, first coverage to deliver complete privacy and second protection from the rudiments. These can also be used as purely a decorative accent.

And choosing wisely is also important because there is some fabric like sheer that cannot hide the light completely but the air flow will be there. Sheer curtains are not sufficient for hiding exposed sun light because of their light fabric. So always try to choose the fabric depending upon your location, choose color and size as well. Also look for the hardware such as nobs and rods which you’re using because these are going to be exposed to humidity, rain, wind, sunlight more. So, it should be condition free.

The fabric is important to look for because there is cotton, sheer, silk fabric which has been used to make curtains. And each fabric plays a very different role in giving the desired thing. Sheer curtains are good to create a dramatic effect but not good to hide things much. But if you want more darkness and privacy space then you could consider cotton.
