Entrepreneur Denis Vincent And His Awesome Success Story

Author: Jose Malave

Businesses run on profits, and an entrepreneur’s job is to ensure profits. For most people in the business sector, that’s the only motive. They try new ideas, find ways to innovate, and execute the right steps, so as to make enough money. However, not all entrepreneurs are born with that kind of mindset. There are some like Denis Vincent, who like to explore and find more meaning than numbers on a spreadsheet. Mr. Vincent is a prolific and well-known person in the business world of Canada, and he has worked in more than half a dozen industries. His story is not just about success and money, but more about efforts and how things can change with hard work.

Beginning with nothing

Denis didn’t have the silver spoon when he started his career, and in his many interviews, he has mentioned that these things have actually worked in his favor. He began his journey as an administrator for P.R.C.S. construction insulation, and he remained associated with the company for a year. During this period, he realized that his life was all about business, and he wanted to learn the tricks of the trade. After a year, he joined Moto Bateau, where he focused and learned many things associated with boat and motorcycle sales. He worked in the company for around five years, before starting his work in private. He continued in the auto sales sector and had worked on exports, as well, in parts of Asia and Russia.

More work, better success

Soon after, Denis found his love for the aviation sector. Since he was a child, he always wanted to be a pilot. He started training in the 1990s, and by 1996, he was a trained pilot. During this period, he started his company Heli Vincent Inc, which deals in dry leasing and sales of aircrafts and helicopters. The company, which has its operations in Quebec, British Columbia, and Alberta, has been operating successfully since 1997. Denis soon moved to the real estate sector, where he worked on many projects and has been a driving force behind some of the major acquisitions and mergers. He is also associated with Strong Arm Labour & Contracting as their chief financial officer since November 2011.

A man of passion

Denis doesn’t have a thing for fancy cars or homes. He has admitted in many interviews that he loves flying, and that remains his only passion to date. Often, he takes his colleagues and friends with him as he takes his chopper from coast to coast in Canada. As of 2014, he has over 14000 TT to his credit. When Denis is not working, he likes to work for local charities. Besides donating regularly, he also works closely with many institutions for local causes.

No wonder, he also has many arch rivals, but ask him about competition, and he says, "Do your job. That’s why we all are here. I don’t believe in competition. My rivals are my inspiration to do better, and I will think of it like that".
