Huawei Mate 10 Pro to come with bezel-less display
Huawei is all set to launch its upcoming flagship Mate 10 cell phone battery wholesale on October 16. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer has already sent out media invites for the launch event on October 16 to be held in Munich, Germany. Now as per a new report, Huawei might actually launch at least two variants named Huawei Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro at the event.
Chinese website Zol has cited an unnamed Weibo user which claims that the regular Mate 10 will come with a similar screen to the Huawei Mate 9 with a 16:9 ratio and Huawei Mate 10 Pro will come with a 2:1 aspect ratio display with almost no bezel. The phone has earlier also revealed by Huawei CEO Richard Yu to come with a bezel-less display.
The site also reveals that the regular Huawei Mate 10 would be featuring a fingerprint sensor on the front while the Mate 10 Pro model will feature a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. It is expected for the Mate 10 Pro to feature a fingerprint sensor on the rear since the device is rumoured to sport minimal bezels, so there won’t be enough space for it on the front side. It was recently also reported that Huawei filed for "EntireView Display" trademark which could be the official name for the bezel-less screen which is expected to come with the Pro model.
Just yesterday, the company also shared a short video teaser indicating that its upcoming wholesale phone parts will feature a dual camera setup in collaboration with German camera and optics manufacturer Leica. The dual rear camera set is likely to feature a 12-megapixel RGB sensor and a 20-megapixel monochrome sensor.
An earlier report had however revealed that there would be two Mate 10 models - Huawei a regular Mate 10 with 6.1-inch display and a Huawei Mate 10 Lite with 5.8-inch display. The Huawei Mate 10 is said to be priced at PLN4,000 which is approximately Rs 70,754 while the Huawei Mate 10 Lite will be priced at PLN 1,999 which is approximately Rs 35,358. So it is currently unknown whether Huawei will be launching three different models or the Mate 10 Lite is same as Mate 10 Pro.
The Huawei Mate 10 is said to come with a bezel-less 6.1-inch display with an aspect ratio of 18:9 having a 2160×1080 px resolution (4K). It will be powered by a 10nm HiSilicon Kirin 970 chipset, so it is expected to deliver performance equivalent to Snapdragon’s 835. It is said to come with 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage.
The Mate 10 is said to come with Android 7.1 preloaded with Huawei custom skin EMUI on top of it and will be backed up by 4,000mAh battery with fast charging support.
