Ingredients needed
- At least 30 almonds (badam)
- 2 ½ cups of milk.
- Half a tin of condensed milk.
- 15 whole cashew nuts.
- A few drops of Almond essence.
Method of making or cooking
- Soak the almonds and blanch them. Drain and peel them. Keep a few of the almonds aside for garnishing.
- Soak the cashew nuts and the remaining almonds in a cup of hot milk for half an hour and then grind them into a fine paste. Heat the milk.
- When the milk starts boiling, add condensed milk and stir it well. Add the paste (almond and cashew) to the milk and cook it on medium heat. The entire mixture needs to be constantly stirred till the mixture thickens.
- Finally, remove the mixture. Add the almond essence and garnish it with slivered almonds.
- It is ready to be served, either hot or cold, according to preferences.
