Perception is that MBA = job and to some extent is the reality hence, most of the MBA aspirants take it granted that when they will be completing MBA, they would positively be placed in some company. That is why hundreds of thousands of young graduates appear for competitive exams such as Cat,CMAT,Xat etc.

Well, the perception is both wrong and right. Most of the time Institutes claim that the students have been placed with higher salary whereas that package might be limited to few of the pass outs hence, the claim that with MBA you are bound to get a fat salary may not be right.

On the contrary in degree colleges, the output of students is almost not eligible to get a job hence, this is one of the reason that students opt out for MBA.

Industry prospective is very different and thinking process with recruiters is a little clearer as industry thinks two ways. One why to recruit MBA? And second how non MBAs can perform?

With MBAs industry equally takes it granted that MBA pass outs know the minimum of presentations and having hygiene of management thinking process. Whereas they recruit non MBAs for sales job as front runners.

Industry is looking forward to a readymade stuff of MBA pass outs who are not only good with management DNA but can execute also.

Presently, ASSOCHAM came out with findings that only 10% of the MBA pass outs are employable and this is where is the crux of the matter. This is also a proven fact that stand alone MBA degree is not enough to aspire to be selected in corporate giants.

You may not be hired till you own skills in areas of language, adaptation along with a different kind of positive attitude and willing to learn forever. You need to be a go getter with everlasting "can do attitude".

These soft skills matter much more than MBA degree and these are the essentials for the execution part of any job profile.

Skill formats of gaining employability can’t be improved overnight and it is an ongoing process which must be taken with firm attitude to be a winner always even in the worst of the circumstances.

Top of all your individual entrepreneurial traits will be on anvil during the interview of final placements and HR Manager from industry would positively dig out from your insight to know your complete personality whether you are fit enough for a mercurial career?

Off late foreign languages like Mandrin, Spanish, French and German are also playing as a additional skill along with your MBA degree which industry is referring for those who are fluent of these languages and they get recruited.

Corporate giants may not test you out on your theory but would positively grill you to understand your attitude and that can be a differentiator for gaining berth in the industry.
