Pune is the second largest city in the Indian state of Maharashtra and the seventh most populous city in India. Pune is a city of knowledge and often known as the Oxford of the east. In Marathi, it is known as "vidyeche maherghar" which means, the hometown of education. In Pune, there are lots of BA and MA colleges so that it’s difficult to choose for students. I want to improve knowledge of students who take an admission for a BA and MA.

The Bachelor of Arts (BA) is the 3-year undergraduate course which has an English is the compulsory subject and English, Geography and Psychology are special subjects.

  • The Master of Arts (MA)-

The Master of Arts (MA) is the 2-year post-graduate course which has specialization in English, Geography and Psychology (Clinical).

M.A. (English) - The Candidate should have completed their graduation in any faculty will be eligible for this course.

M.A. (Geography) - The Candidate should have B.A with geography as a special subject or B.Sc. With Geography as a special subject or any B.Sc. with Geography at the second-year level will be eligible for this course.

M. A. Psychology (Clinical) - The Candidate should have completed their graduation in any faculty will be eligible for this course.

The BA and MA both courses are affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University.

Career options after BA and MA-

  1. After completing BA, the best option is competitive exams like- MPSC, UPSC, Banking exams etc.
  2. Also, MBA is another option if you have interest in Management.

  4. If you think that your writing skill is something to be proud about then you can make it as a career. You can go for freelancing as a writer, translation work or transcription work.

  7. After completing MA you become a professor if you cracked the GATE exam.
