NEST 2018 is a mandatory entrance test which is conducted for securing the admission in the various 5 year integrated programs. The instructions provided are to educate all the applicants about all the scientific programs of the Department of Atomic Energy and many various science institutions situated across the country. NEST 2018 is conducted in order to offer admissions to the willing candidates in the five year integrated program of MSC in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics which are provided by both NISER and UM-DAE CEBS. The applicants can secure their admission in the course or program they desire to do in NISER and Mumbai University (Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences), Mumbai are provided on the basis of their NEST 2018 score. The applicants who want to give the entrance exam should have passed their Class 10+2 from Science stream.
The National Entrance Screening Test 2018 will be conducted on 2nd June, 2018. The entrance exam will be of 3 hours duration and who so ever wants to appear for the exam have to apply or register themselves for this entrance exam. The participants who are appearing for the entrance exam can now apply for NEST 2018 by visiting the official website. To make payment for the application fee the candidate can make their payment via Credit/debit card or net banking. The application fee required for the candidates who are applying for the exam is Rs. 1000 for General/ OBC categories participants and for the applicant who so ever belongs to SC/ST category they have to pay Rs. 500. All the appearing candidates should reach the allotted test centres before the scheduled time. As, the entrance exam will start exactly at the scheduled time 10:00 i.e. no candidates will be allowed to enter their exam centres after 10:30 am. - The candidates cannot use Log tables or calculator after they entered their examination hall.
- No exchange and sharing of any material will not be allowed.
- The participants have to bring their hall ticket and a photo identity card for their verification while they go to appear for their entrance exam.
- The exam paper will include 5 sections of Objective type question.
- The initial section is the general section which is of 30 marks. There is no negative marking applicable for the general section.
- The section two includes particular subjects from Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics.
