XAT Result 2018: XLRI To Release the Score Cards on This Date

XAT result will be out on 31 January 2018 along with the specific answer sheet and their score cards. As, it is stated at the official website of XLRI but after analysing their past trends in result declaration hence it is cleared that they declare their results 7-10 days before of the officially pre-announced declaration date. And there are more than 150 B-schools which includes XLRI, SPJIMR, IMT, XIMB, and TAPMI who will consider XAT 2018 scores for offering admission.

The conducting boy XLRI release the shortlist in one or two days after the XAT result is declared. The SPJIMR releases its shortlist twice once it is released on the basis of profile and the other is based on the basis of Xavier’s Aptitude Test obtained scores. And although the applicants will be shortlisted on the basis of their profile and also on the minimum scores obtained by them. And the applicants who have scored very high percentage in their CAT 2017 and also have scored a high percentage in XAT result can now register to multiple top MBA colleges/institutes on the basis of their Xavier’s aptitude test obtained scores.

Xavier’s Aptitude test will not give exact 100 per cent even if the candidate has scored to the highest score in the entrance exam. The score in Xavier’s Aptitude test is ranked at 99.9+ per cent. As per their different calculation method of a candidate’s percentile no candidate scores 100 in their attended entrance exam. And according to XAT result declaring officials said that, "Their calculation of the percentile is slightly different and all the toppers do not obtain hundred percentiles in their score cards."

To know how to download their result all the awaiting candidates should follow the below given steps:

  • The candidates must login to the official website for their score card.
  • Then they need to click on the Score card icon.
  • After, they clicked on the score card icon the candidates need to enter their application number, password/DOB as required.
  • Your score card will include their scaled and percentile score for each section.
  • After they get their respective XAT result then they are requested to download their specific score cards for future preferences.
  • All the candidates who have get their respective score cards can now calculate their marks on the basis of expected score.

The entrance exam was divided into 2 parts and was for 210 minutes of duration. And after getting into the online i.e. the computerised testing mode all the 5 sections in Xavier’s aptitude test 2018 are collaborated into one single exam whether it is counted for percentile calculations or not. As there were 3 sections in the exam according to which your percentile will be determined. Negative marking was applicable for all the three sections but for section 4 and 5 there was no negative marking applicable. The first part includes 3 sections and has 72 questions and the candidates had to attempt in overall specified time limit.

All the questions asked were MCQs (Multiple choice questions) and the candidates who will answer to these 72 questions will be taken into account to calculate their sectional as well as the overall percentile score. The XAT result scores are calculated on the basis of a candidates score in their 72 questions attempt and each question carries a score of one mark and each wrong attempt will deduct ¼ mark as there is negative marking.
