Exercise is helpful in relieving stress and anxiety, too, as it releases endorphins in the brain, which make you feel happy. If you are not a fan of strenuous physical activities like jogging or running, consider walking around the block, yoga, tai chi, Pilates, and activities that do not feel like exercise, like playing your favourite sport, swimming, and riding a bike.

  • Just breathe – Practise proper breathing by maintaining good posture and breathing through your nose to efficiently draw air in and out of your lungs. You can look up breathing exercises that can help you relax and feel calmer when you are anxious or stressed, too. For a more invigorating experience, consider using special incenses and aromatherapy oils to stimulate your mind body and spirit as you breathe in and out. Certain scents can relax you and make you feel good, giving you a better sense of well-being.
  • Eat well – What you eat can directly affect your mind body and spirit. Improving your diet by eating balanced meals, not starving yourself, avoiding food and drinks that are high in sodium and sugar, and drinking more water can help refresh all three. You may want to consider skipping alcoholic beverages and enjoying your caffeine in moderation, too.
