UPTET Eligibility Criteria

The applicant desiring to apply for the UPTET 2018 should satisfy the conditions given below.

Primary Level (Class I to V):

  • The applicant should have passed Class 12th with min. 50% from a recognised Board.

  • The applicant should have completed Graduation in any stream from a recognised University or should be studying in the final year of D.El.Ed. in an institute recognised by NCTE.

  • The applicant who is studying in the final year of B.Ed.

  • The age of the applicant should be in between 18-35 years. The applicant belonging to the reserved categories shall be eligible for the age relaxation as per the Government Rules.

Upper Primary Level (Class VI to VIII):

  • The applicant should have passed Class 12th with min. 50% from a recognised Board.

  • The applicant should have completed Graduation/Post Graduation with min. 50% marks in any stream from a recognised University or should be studying in the final year of D.El.Ed. in an institute recognised by NCTE.

  • The applicant who is studying in the final year of B.Ed.

  • The age of the applicant should be in between 18-35 years. The applicant belonging to the reserved categories shall be eligible for the age relaxation as per the Government Rules.
