It is a cost-effective mechanism that will perform Arbitration, Mediation, and Conciliation processes to settle issues between multiple parties.

ODR is a boon for emerging economies, conflict zones, and other places where people have little access to a law system. It stands as an epitome of innovations in the country by improving the civil, societal and commercial life of its citizens.

The inauguration was made at a conference in New Delhi which promotes pilot projects and initiatives taken by India and its allies to utilise technology for enhancing the lives of their citizens. To this end, the ODR system stands by the intention and glorifies India’s innovations.

Apart from the ODR, Srivastava has also developed electronic toll payments for the highways sector. He integrated IT in highway projects and spearheaded all the major undertakings in the sector.

Srivastava used technology as a tool to bring transparency and justice in the public sector. The ODR project also complements the Centre’s Digital India initiative as it digitalises the dispute resolution process. By eliminating paperwork, the ODR will expedite the process.

The online dispute management technology – ODR – satisfies the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) model. It went for a practical demonstration at the UN and got an official approval from the UNCITRAL for the launch.

Consensual and Adjudicative are the two methods on which ODR works. The methods are there to address Automated Negotiation to determine disputes without liability. Further, Automation Negotiation solves singular and multiple party issues through Double Bidding and Visual Bidding.

The ODR system resolves brick-and-mortar issues in businesses, municipalities and insurance companies. Under Assisted Negotiations, the ODR system facilitates effective negotiations between disputers.

Akhilesh Srivastava’s ODR portal provides a pool of opportunities for engineering and law pursuits. It is also getting demand for employment from global candidates as well. Currently, Arbitration system specialist in the country are working on the ODR and is welcoming talent across the globe.

Candidates who are seeking to work on their dream jobs can land on ODR portal as it acts as a great source of avenue for job seekers. Srivastava’s ODR system is marked as the first online dispute management system in the world. And it is expected to surge foreign trade and Indian economy.
