Exam EC0-350: Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)

Introduction:

One of the EC0-350 exams from the CEH certification program is known as "EC0-350". The exam validates the ability and skills to test the defense mechanism of organization’s systems and networks. In this exam, the candidates are also required to demonstrate their abilities to identify the defense system weaknesses and to carry out the security configurations. In addition to these aspects, the exam also focusses on the skills and abilities to successfully accomplish the operation procedures of network and system defense mechanisms. Moreover, the understanding of creating a network intrusion prevention plan using the penetration testing technique is also validated in this exam.

The covers a total of 19 topics which are based on the concepts of network security and defense options. The CEH EV0-350 exam consists of 150 questions which are in the form of both single and multiple choice questions. The buying price of the EV0-350 exam is $500 which is exclusive of taxes. The exam vouchers can be brought either from EC – Council Accredited Training Centers or from Pearson VUE or directly in the Prometric.

Requirements for the Exam:

There is no requirement for the persons who have attended the official training for CEH certifications. But for those who learn and prepare for the exam by themselves required to fulfill certain requirements before taking the exam. They must have a minimum of 2 years documented experience with IT security. They are required to pay $100 and send an email to EC-council for its approval. And they must submit an Ec0-350 exam eligibility form.

There are three ways to prepare CEH exam. You can either prepare for the exam via "Books" or "Self-Study" program which is offered by Career Academy and is about $1400.
