Wolves are devouring citizens!
The Wolf is about to jump on him, He is screaming so loudly that the entire village could hear him, he is asking for HELP! SOS!…however all villagers ignored him, nobody responds to him. He is left sole to the hungry Wolf that devoured him with no mercy!
Almost all of us (maybe) know the story of the liar boy that each time stands on the top of a hill and screams: Help! Help! The wolf will devour me! but when villagers arrive to his place, they find no wolf, they find out that it was only a ridiculous joke from the boy (let’s call him Mr.B), unfortunately, a real wolf appeared in front of Mr.B this time, he screamed loudly Help! Help! Villagers thought it was another joke of Mr.B, so they ignored him, end of story for him!
How many time have you heard an employee saying "I want to build my own business, but…"? Personally, each time I sit with a friend who still employee I hear exactly the same sentence, the truth is I used to say the same thing long time before, however, unlike Mr.B, I was able to get villagers to help me to kill my wolf before he devoured me!
When an employee (whether he is struggling or not) thinks about becoming entrepreneur, the fear of failure shows up, fear of failure is the employee’s typical wolf, and in order to defeat this wolf, he screams immediately for help from the villagers which are no one other than the resources of his brain like logic, analysis, memory, and imagination; he uses these resources (villagers) to figure out all the risks associated with the business he wants to start and how to avoid each one of them, he is trying to answer all the questions that come to his head about how protect his business from competition, he is imagining all possible failure scenarios and what impact these failures will have on his daily life, he his caught in an overthinking process that exhausts his brain and drains out his productive energy, and at the end, he decides to quit or at least to postpone his project until he feels that he is ready!
This process becomes destructive when it is repeated several times, when an employee thinks about starting a business, the anchored thinking process in his brain – That was forged by school education and then by working as employee – mobilizes the resources (villagers) to identify and get ride of all risks of failure (wolf), but since no real action was taken to validate these risks in reality, these risks become only a fiction, the wolf right now is only a fiction, so next time an employee (Mr.B) thinks about starting a business, automatically his villagers will tell him "there is no wolf" and will ignore him, as consequence, he will be left sole to be devoured by the wolf (the fear of failing), in other words, he will remain at the starting point. End of his story as entrepreneur.
When this typical thinking process is repeated, it becomes a habit, the habit of only thinking to start a business without actually doing any thing in reality, and this is the time when excuses like: I’m not yet ready, it’s too early, I don’t have enough cash-flow…start taking place for relieving your mind and to shut down that inner voice that is keeping to push you to change your life as employee.
So how to make your villagers respond positively each time you ask for help when a wolf shows up? The process includes understanding your way of thinking, I’m not talking about positive thinking although it is necessary, but I’m pointing the thinking scheme that will let you kill the wolf, the thinking scheme of entrepreneurs. You have to study how entrepreneurs think and copy them, you have to nurture your villagers with healthy foods (education) in order to help you to kill the wolf, you have to take determined actions to validate your fear on reality, stop overthinking and start acting!
I will talk more deeply about how to think and act like entrepreneur in the coming posts, but if you are in hurry and want to go further, then go get for FREE the first two chapters of my book "CONFESSIONS OF A MILLENNIAL MILLIONAIRE" The SECRETS to SUCCEED in the TRANSITION from EMPLOYEE to 7 FIGURES ENTREPRENEUR.
