Booking a tour package for your trip to Europe? That’s a great idea! It will save you from the hassles of flight bookings, hotel reservations, arranging transfers, planning an itinerary, etc. Having said that, there are still a number of things you need to keep in mind when booking your package to ensure you have a memorable vacation. This article will highlight some of these pointers to ensure exactly that!

1. Does the package include flights?

There numerous Europe tour packages that include flights and there also some that don’t. The latter will be much more affordable and seeing this, people jump the gun and book them, only to realize that they will now have to shell out more to purchase flight tickets for Europe. So before you book your package, make it a point to check if flights are included. Doing so will save you from any unpleasant surprises later on.

2. Types of hotels.

You need to check the type of accommodation provided as part of the package. Most plans will have at least 3 different levels of accommodations to choose from. If you’re a budget, they should have reasonable 3-star properties listed as their first level of accommodation. If you don’t mind shelling out a little more, you could opt for 4-star properties and if you’re to indulge yourself a little, you could go for 5-star hotels. The better plans will offer multiple options within these three levels of accommodation. Remember to check the ratings, reviews, and images of the hotels listed.

3. Transfers included or not?

After ensuring you won’t have to purchase flight tickets for Europe, you also need to ensure you won’t have to arrange for internal transfers. Though most plans will cover all intercity transportation, there are some plans that might leave you to figure things out on your own. Further, even if the plan provides internal transfers, you still need to cross check if these are private, semi-private or public transportation. If you’re traveling with family, it makes sense to look for plans that offer private transfers as much as possible.

4. Meals?

Meals are a huge part of any vacation. In Europe, meals are even more important to provide that holistic vacation experience. You need to taste the place you’re visiting and Europe has so many different unique cuisines. Some packages will provide at least a breakfast while some might even provide a complimentary dinner. However, if you’d rather eat Indian food, make sure you check with the tour operator if they provide such a facility.

5. Visa.

Some plans cover the cost of visa arrangements, some don’t. The ones that don’t may offer reduced prices on visa services (if they provide them in the first place) since you’ve already booked the package through them. Such tour operators have vast experience with visa procedures and can help you fill the forms and apply correctly to ensure your visa comes through without any hiccups.

We hope these pointers help you book the perfect Europe tour package. Good luck and all the best, have a safe trip!
