The Path to Purification
If one says that he would take a target to purify the earth then the very first question that would arise is that what would be their first step. In most cases you hear that they have high aspirations but have no idea from where to start. Moreover, some people end up with the thought that it is a very costly affair and there are no commercial benefits, thus there is no point in thinking much on changing the world.
However, the strange part is that there are many cost effective ways to help the environment and make a nice profit as well. It is by a process of water treatment.
With the help of water treatment one can help to make better utilize water and reduce its wastage. This means that there could be an effective reduction in costs as well as it would be useful for the environment.
There are various methods of water treatment process depending on various factors like budget, type of problems in the water, land structure etc.
For instance the process of desalinisation which involves in the removing excess salt from water is a popular way of making sea water into potable water. As the average level of salt in potable water is about 2mg per litre but if it is more than this quantity then there may a requirement to remove the excess salt. This means that sea water and other water sources that has become saline can be treated by a process of desalinisation. This would allow the water to make suitable for human consumption.
Another popular process is treatment through membrane & filtration. It causes the organic and inorganic membranes to be filtered out and a free flow of clean water to take place. Once the membranes are cleaned it makes the water free from many impurities which generally could not be removed by sedimentation or simple filtration. Membrane & filtration procedures are not very difficult to set up. It could turn out to be very cost effective.
Nevertheless, another equally important process after cleaning and treating water is the process of distribution. The water should reach the places where it is required without wastage. By using proper pumps and valves a proper distribution process could be set up. Where an integrated network is present, a requirement of proper force of water supply is essential. The valves would ensure that there is no blockage or leakage, so that no water gets wasted. The pumps and valves could be the soul of an entire irrigation system. Hence it could very well be the path to purification.
