Why study at NIMS University?

NIMS University was established under Jaipur Act, 2008 enacted by the Government of Rajasthan under the vision to provide affordable education to the society in various faculties like management, Law, Pharmacy, etc.The University has successfully obtained recognition & Accreditation by many governing councils like the Medical Council, Dental Council, INC, etc.

NIMS University is recognized and approved by the following-

University Grants Commission (UGC)

NIMS University is duly recognized under the provisions of Section 2 (f) of the University Grants Commission Act,1956.

UGC is a statutory body which formulates and maintains the standards of higher education in India. It has made NET Qualification mandatory for teaching at graduation and post graduation level. To maintain high standards of education, the recognition is provided after a detailed inspection of infrastructure, faculty and staff, the vision of the management, curriculum, policies and procedures followed by it. Thus, UGC recognition allows the student to choose the right institute to build his career.

NAAC Accreditation- B+

NIMS University has been accredited with 2.54 CGPA on a scale of 7 at B+ grade until 07 February 2024 by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC)

NAAC considers various parameters like teaching faculties, research and extensions available at the institute, infrastructures like laboratories, library and other learning resources. The accreditation by NAAC helps the student to get a transparent view of the quality of education, teaching-learning facilities available and the future opportunities that could be provided by the institute.

2.54 CGPA means the overall performance of the institute considering all the above factors is good.

Medical Council of India (MCI)NIMS University offers various medical courses like MBBS,MD,M.Ch, MS which are recognized and approved by the Medical Council of India (MCI)MCI plays an important role in structuring the medical education in the country as it maintains the uniform standards in the field of medicine at both undergraduate as well as postgraduate level.It regularly audits the facilities offered at the college and derecognizes if the standards are not met.

Dental Council of India (DCI)

The Dental Council of India regulates the curriculum in the training of dentists, dental hygienists and dental mechanics and to regulate the level of examinations.It regularly inspects the dental colleges of India and maintains the required standard of education and facilities.

The undergraduate programme of B.D.S and the post graduate programme of M.D.S in various disciplines offered by NIMs University are recognized and approved by the council.

Pharmacy Council of India (PCI)

The University offers a 4-year B.Pharm programme with an intake of 60 students, 2 years long D.Pharma course and post-baccalaureate Pharma D. with an intake of students.The courses are approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI). It is a statutory body which is linked to the Ministry of Health Services and Family Welfare.

Indian Nursing Council (INC)

The nursing council grants the qualification in general nursing, health visiting or public health nursing. It regularly audits the nursing institutes for their infrastructural facilities, student-teacher ratio and other necessities required for successful completion of the course. It has the power to make regulations and cancel the recognition of the institute. Thus enrollment into NIMS University for any of its nursing courses like NPCC, GNC,B.Sc (nursing) ensures the student of high standard education and facilities.

Bar Council of India (BCI)

It prescribes standards of professional conduct, and for legal education and grants recognition to Universities whose degree in law will serve as a qualification for students to enrol themselves as advocates upon graduation. Thus, it is an essential approval required for courses like LLB, B.A LLB, BBA LLB and postgraduate program like L.L.M.

Council of Architecture

To carry a profession of Architect, the individual needs to register himself to the Council of Architecture and for registration, the individual must possess education approved and recognized by the Council of Architecture. Thus, NIMS University offers approved 5-year B.Arch course with an approved intake of

Students.

Joint Committee Recognition on Distance Education Program

The Distance Education courses offered at Nims University are recognized by the joint committee constituted by the UGC, the Distance Education Council (DEC) and AICTE.
