Author: Jones Wilson

Microsoft had a long time before launched their own service for surveys and stuff. The Forms from Microsoft on their biggest Productivity Suite is one of the latest addition to the Suite they have been selling for a long time. Microsoft Forms not only is the form and survey tool but it is one of a kind tool included first time with a productivity tool. This is one of the best things that has been added to Microsoft Office’s domain of multiple beautiful services.

Diving into Microsoft Forms is really easy and is a treat to our eyes. On the first, we found that it is the part of the Office 365 Cloud Computing system and is opened on the web browser. So as expected the Forms opened up on the Chrome, which was set as the default browser. There are other ways of opening forms without using your laptop or computer where the application is already installed. It can directly be opened from the browser and is really a quick and beautiful interface. The first launch of the app came up with the pop-up screen which said "Hi, Jhon,Welcome to Microsoft Forms! Easily create surveys, quizzes, and polls." The first impression of the whole process of loading Forms is really good and delightful to see that the web applications have become so advanced that we can launch a full-fledged application within 30 Seconds. and the prompt, the pop up came with a button, asking me to create a form, and that’s exactly why I opened the app, so I clicked the button. One the click I was returned to another screen where I had my first untitled form. The top bar of the app, on the left, the 9 Dot menu from where you can open other Office Applications, on the right to the menu we have the Forms Preview Logo then on the right side we have the preview button and we have the theme for the form we are creating. With the preview button, you can simply view the form in its final look as you have created it and the themes can simply change the color and the layout of the Form that you are working on. To the right of both buttons on the top bar is the Send button and this button has the function of copying the link of this form or sending it to people on different applications or emails. You can even share your form as a template if you feel like your work needs to be appreciated. After the send button, we have the 3 dot button that simply opens up a drop up with different options.

  1. Branching
  2. Settings
  3. Feedback
  4. Terms
  5. Your Account Email(User)
  6. Sign Out option

These options simply let you tweak into the settings and terms of the application you are using. That wraps up the menu and the Top Bar of the application. Below that is the main container of the application, The main container handles the canvas or the work space you are working on.

On the main canvas we have 2 tabs, Questions and Responses. The questions tab will simply turn you to create the form filled with the questions and the fields you want to put in it and the responses hold the response of the fields that has been delivered to your forms. This means you do not need to keep your server open or any rocket science to get the response, Microsoft has already figured that for you and have created an application that does it all for you, You just need to share he form and the responses will be saved, and you can later even open those responses on your excel file.

In the conclusion, We can say that Microsoft, as always has put great efforts in making this application and is to the point, This application is totally dedicated to Forms. With this application we have a number of Possibilities and we can bulk distribute these forms. Sending Invite forms, Giveaway Forms or Quiz forms, Contest forms or what not can be delivered with this beautiful application.
