Few of the most deadly mosquito-borne diseases that have plagued in the recent years are as follows:Dengue is a fever caused by a family of viruses that are transmitted by mosquitoes. The symptoms include high fever, headache, rashes, and pain behind the eyes, nausea, vomiting and joint pains.

Malaria is caused by four species of the genus Plasmodium and is considered as the deadliest among all the mosquito-borne diseases since it affects the brain. From shaking chills to high fever to nausea, headache, vomiting include the symptoms of malaria.

Chikungunya is spread by the infected Aedes aegypti mosquito. It causes debilitating pain in the joints along with fever, fatigue, and headache. There is no specific cure for this disease and the treatment is mostly focused on reliving the symptoms.

Due to climate change, increasing population coupled with rapid urbanization and unsanitary disposal of solid wastes in water bodies, the incidents of mosquito-borne diseases have risen exponentially in the recent years all across developing nations, especially urban areas.
