If you are wondering to experience Himalayan Hub adventure, Everest view trek is one of the best destinations for you. You will start this amazing Everest View Trek with the scenic flight for Lukla from the Kathmandu. As we start our trek from Lukla, we will follow the beautiful Dudh Koshi river (Khumbu) with the spectacular mountain views.

The famous view Point called Everest View Hotel, situated nearby Khumjung Village that offers us magnificent views of the Himalayas such as; Mt. Everest, Mt. Ama Dablam, Nuptse, Lhotse, and many more. This famous viewpoint is our main destination to have a great view of world highest peak in Nepal.

The Everest View Trek is also known as the Everest Panorama Trek which is designed for those people who don’t have sufficient time to reach the Everest Base Camp but eager to explore the mountain Everest "The The roof of the World" as close as possible.

Beside the mountain’s views, this short trek also offers us to get involved with the interesting Sherpa culture of the Khumbu region and encounter with the wide-ranging flora and fauna of the Himalayas in Sagarmatha National Park. On the way to the Everest View Point, we will also get chances to encounter with the lush valleys, extraordinary views of the rivers, hikes over the beautiful suspension bridge and dense pine and Rhododendron forest.

The journey begins at the Kathmandu airport with a scenic flight towards Lukla and then trek to the Phakding. You should trek through a different place such as Phakding and then to Namche bazar following the route of Khumjung. And then you need to go towards Tyanbiche Monastery, the home of the highest Buddhist monastery in the Khumbu region which leads you towards the Khumbu Village where most of the Sherpa people residents.

In the Khumbu region, you will explore the most scenic beauty of the Everest region, Sherpa People, their traditional lifestyle, Buddhist Monasteries, Rare yaks and Hilary School. You can also have the best experience in the way of the Everest View Trek. After exploration, you will return back to your destination. You need to trek towards the Tyangboche, Jhorsale, Lukla and the final take the flight towards Kathmandu and transfer to hotel. The next day, you can have a final departure towards your destination.

Everest View Trek Itinerary

Day 01: Kathmandu to Lukla (2886m) and then to Phakding (2640m.)

Today, you will have a morning breakfast and take an air-flight to Lukla (2886m.), the gateway town to the Everest Trek. Around 45 minutes flight offers magnificent views of the white and green mountains and various settlements. As you reach to Lukla, after short rest, we will begin our trek towards Pakhding, at the altitude of 2610m. You will trek downhill around four hours by following the very beautiful Dudh Koshi River and reach to the small village called Phakding. On the way to Phakding, you can enjoy the majestic view of Nupla. Stay overnight at Phakdhing.

Day 02: Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3440m.)

In this day, you will have an early breakfast and we will continue your pleasing trek mostly uphill to Namche Bazaar by following the right bank of Dudh Koshi and crossing the several teahouses on the way. You will also cross several suspension bridges, Benkar, the forest and the Chumoa with the stunning views of the Himalayas. Today’s trail will be several ups and downs and cross the Monjo village and also cross the Sagarmatha National Park with the excellent views of Everest (8848m) and Lhotse (8516m.). As you reach the Namche Bazaar, you can interact with the Sherpa People and get involved with their unique culture and traditions. Stay overnight at Namche Bazaar.

Day 03: Acclimatization at Namche Bazaar

Today is the day for rest and stroll around and explore the mysterious mountain market. You can make the short hike to the top of the Namche and visit the Sherpa Museum and enjoy the stunning views of the Himalayas such as; the Everest, Ama Dablam, Kantega, Thamserku, Tawoche and any other peaks. You will also hike up to Syangboche Airport where you can witness Everest view Hotel and see rewarding views of The Himalayas, Khumbu Peaks with spectacular sunrise and sunset views. After exploration, you will descend down and stay overnight at Namche Bazaar.

Day 05: Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3860m.)

In this day, you will have a morning breakfast at Namche and continue trek onwards to Tyangboche, situated at elevations of 3860m. During your trial, you can explore the famous Tengboche Gompa which is situated at (3860m). the Tengboche Gompa also offers us a glimpse of Mt. Ama Dablam, Mt. Everest, and other stunning peaks. You will stay overnight at Tyangboche.

Day 06: Tengboche to Jorsale (2830m.)

Next morning, after having breakfast you will leave the beautiful village Tengboche and heads towards Jorsale (Thumbug), situated at the summit of 2830m. On the way to Jorsale, you can witness several lodges along the main street, and several porters hanging villages. You will stay overnight at Jorsale.

Day 07: Jorsale to Lukla (2840m.)

Today is the last day of your trek. After having morning breakfast, you will go through several ups and downs along the trail. You will trek along the two rivers- the Bhote Koshi from the west and Dudh Koshi from the east. You will cross the Dudh Koshi and follow the way to Lukla. Overnight stay at Lukla.

Day 8: Lukla to Kathmandu

The next day, early in the morning, you will head towards Kathmandu through the flight. Around 35 minute’s flights provide you with a panoramic view of the Himalayan range and Mt. Everest for the last time. After you reached the Kathmandu airport, you will be taken back to the hotel for the rest and recall all the memories which you were captured in your cameras. Overnight you will stay in the same hotel.

Everest View Trek Difficulties

This is a short and moderate trek in the Everest region. Trekking through rocky trail with lots of up and the downhill trail makes difficult for the trekkers. But it is an easy trek than trekking all the way to the base camp.

Walk from Lukla to Phakding is easy going for the first day. The second day to the Namche Bazaar is a long day and lots of climbs after lunch. Exploring in Namche is a short and easy day and the last day ascending from Namche to Tengboche is also quite difficult. So you will find the second day is the most difficult.

Everest View Trek Accommodation

You get a private room which is comfortable and clean during the Everest view trek. There are some luxury accommodations also in this trek. You can get a private bathroom in your room during the trek.

Cost of a room in common room is about 5 USD per night and with a private bathroom costs you 10 USD. If you are doing a luxury trek, it cost 200 – 300 USD per day.

Everest View Trek Permit

You need to have 2 different trekking permits for this trek. After landing at the Lukla airport, you will issue Pasang Lhamu rural municipality entry permit which costs you 2000 NPR. Sagarmatha national park permit costs 3000 NPR which you can issue in Monjo.
