How to throw a perfect graduation party?
Are you throwing a graduation party for your friend or sister or daughter/son? Well, if you are, read this first.
Graduating is a huge milestone in someone’s life. It is the stepping stone for getting into college or the last line before you make your first step towards the real world.
In any case, instead of worrying about the future, you need to celebrate your graduation. After all, it is a big occasion, and no matter what, you should celebrate it with friends and family.
So, here is a checklist of the things that you should take care of when hosting a graduation party.
1. Venue
For the sake of this article, we are assuming that you are hosting a party at your home. As most people do as if is a small get together. If you want to do it in a different venue, make sure it has a garden and ample space for fun activities.
And do book the venue in advance.
2. Decoration
Go for simple decoration. A big banner that has graduation or graduating class of 2019 written on it. You can also find a famous graduation quote and make a banner out of it and put it as the main decoration.
Other than that, some balloons and floral arrangements will be enough.
3. Co-host
You will reduce some of your burdens if you co-host the graduation party with your friend. Instead of throwing it for your friend, throw each other party and co-host it. Or if your parents are throwing one, ask them to do it jointly.
This way you both can merge your resources and throw a happening party.
4. Cake
If you are co-hosting with someone, you need two big cakes according to the guest list. If the graduation party is for only one person, one cake is enough. Don’t spend too much on fancy cakes, get a customized cake which is good in taste, but don't pay extra for too much design and decoration on the cake.
5. Guestlist
It is a graduation party so invite only close friends of the person who is graduation and some close family members. You don’t have to invite the whole clan, especially if you are hosting a party at home.
Also, once you set the guest list, design a formal invitation, and send it to people on time. It is important as there would be quite a few graduation parties happening, and you need to know how many people would be coming to your party.
Moreover, you can either print the invitation card or send it to people via email.
6. Snacks
Keep the party timing such that you don’t have to provide lunch or dinner to the guests. Otherwise, your party will be too hectic and expensive. Keep the party near snacks time as it is easier to arrange.
7. Tent
If you have a big backyard, rent a tent for the party. It will keep your house from becoming a mess, and the tent will help in case there is rain or other weather problems.
I hope these tips help you in throwing a grand graduation party for your friend, sister or so on.
