Concrete blocks are the basic material used in the construction of buildings. They are one of the several precast products used in the construction of building, also referred to as Concrete Masonry Unit (CMU). They are made off-site and provided as hardened and formed pre-cast building material. The concrete blocks have one or more hollow cavities and are cast either smooth and or with some design. In order to form a solid structure, they are stacked up and joined together with the help of concrete mortar.

Production Of The Concrete Blocks:

The production of the Concrete Blocks invo/blves four basic processes including the mixing, molding, curing and cubing. Besides, the concrete blocks, many of the machines can produce other precast concrete products such as blocks, decorative landscaping pieces, flat paver stones, etc. First the raw materials such as sand, cement, gravel and water are mixed and then forced into the molds where they get the required shape. The concrete mix is compacted with the aid of pressing and mechanical vibration. The blocks are passed to the curing chambers where they are cured for about 24 hours. After curing, the slabs of blocks are passed through a cuber that aligns each block.

Concrete Block Making Machines:

Earlier, concretes were made by hand, which was time taking and tedious process. But, with the introduction of the Block Making Machines, the process of concrete block manufacturing was simplified. Further, the process became quicker and easier with the Semi-Automatic and Fully Automatic Block Making Machines. These machines are very simple to operate and have a high-manufacturing capacity. The Egg Laying Type Fully Automatic Block Machines are another variation of the Automatic Block Making Machines.

Egg Laying Type Block Machines:

Egg Laying Type Block Machines are capable of producing blocks with a smooth finish and are very easy to operate. They have very high production rate and can produce blocks in different sizes. They have three heavy duty gear box out of which two are used for reverse and forward stroke while the other one is used for the left and right turning or drive. The left and right turning should be operated manually with the use of hand.

They mould the blocks on a concrete slab. Unlike the stationary Block Making Machines, the High Speed Egg Laying Type Block Machines do not require any pallets. But, it is necessary that the machines are purchased from a reputed Block Making Machine Manufacturer.
