Grass Grids
Our unique Grass Grids effectively eliminate the issue of ground churning by providing support as they are pressed into the soil to ground level meaning. This means that any foot traffic and vehicles are supported by both the grids and the ground itself. Thanks to the interlocking system, these products are quick and easy to install. We offer a range of grass grids made from a high strength injection-molded plastic and materials which are 100% recycled. These products are ideal for soil ground reinforcement in domestic and industrial settings. They can also be used as a form of car parking ground supports.
If you are looking for support grids for permeable paving, you can choose from our 500 Grass Fill and park 40MM Grass Fill grid models.
Both of these models comply with SUDS (Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems) regulations and can be used for domestic and light industrial surface reinforcement.
Plastic garden shed base kits are made of tiles of interlocking grids that secure together but require a pre-base of builder’s sand and pea gravel to level the ground first and fill the spaces within the grid once laid. These are the easiest to install as it’s only joining tiles together, locking them in place with pegs supplied then filling the spaces with pea gravel for added strength. The trickier part is getting the ground level.
We also offer a heavy-duty version of our
Grass Grids in the form of the Park80HD grid model, which is suitable for use on construction sites and will withstand frequent use by lorries, agricultural machinery, and vehicles up to 44 tonnes. The strongest and longest-lasting is to use a concrete base or a base built with paving slabs. However, that’s only if you know you want a permanent garden shed installation. If you think you’ll move home and want to take the shed with you, then a wood or plastic garden shed base are options that let you take your shed down, pack the base up and move it to your new home.
Shed windows are the weakest point in your garden shed. If you don’t need sunlight and only use your shed for storage, consider sealing it off. If you’d rather keep the window, use curtains so nobody can see through the window to see what’s stored. You can also buy film to put over your windows such as an opaque film or a mirror acrylic to turn your window into a mirror but still allowing a decent amount of sunlight into the shed.
Unlike paving slabs or concrete, Grass Grids allow water to permeate into the ground reducing the risk of flooding and excess groundwater. Constructed from plastic that allows them to retain flexibility, even in freezing conditions and after UV exposure they will not break. Expansion joints allow the grids to deal with different temperatures, so they do not shift against each other. The male to female connectors ensures strong attachment. The open cell structure of our grass grids prevents them from migrating into the ground, even under the weight of vehicles, and even on sloped surfaces.
