The error pending download from Play Store usually occurs due to some unwanted update installation on your smartphone or due to a large amount of cache. Since last week I faced this error. I have sought the solution of this error, but I have not found any suitable solution for this. Finally, I have found the solution for the pending download error from the Google Play Store and I would love to share this solution with you. The solution is very simple, you have to uninstall the Google Play services update and it will start working fine.

Method 1: clear the cache and data from the Google Play app

The cache data on our phone is just junk files used to save user information about the application and to help you complete tasks faster. It can occupy the size of some KB to GB of storage space. The same case is for the Google Play Store by saving the data on the device for its downloaded applications. The data can be broken or corrupted easily and deletion by following the steps below will solve the problem.

  1. Go to the "Settings" of your phone and open your "Application / Applications Manager"
  2. Search "Google Play Store" in the list of applications
  3. Touch "Force stop" and clear "Cache" or "Data"

Note: For some phones, you must select "Storage" and then you can see Data and cache. Clear cache and data in settings

Return to Google Play Store, now try again to update or download the application.

Method 2: restart your phone

Restarting your phone will update the RAM by deleting all temporary data stored for your Google Play Store, which includes updates or stuck download files. You can restart your phone by selecting the Turn off option and then turning the phone back on or by simply selecting the Reset option. After restarting your device, check if you can download or update applications now.

Note: sometimes you need to apply method 1 before using method 2.

Method 3: disable automatic updates and stop pending installations

Most applications will be blocked if automatic updates are enabled for your Google Play Store and if they stop, others can be updated. You can also stop all updates in the library and start updating the application individually without any problem. A better option is to check "Do not automatically update applications" so you never receive this error in the future.

  1. Go to "Google Play Store" and press the "Settings bar" in the upper left corner of the screen or simply switch to the right
  2. Scroll down, go to "Settings"
  3. Tap the "Update applications automatically" option and select "Do not update applications automatically" Disable automatic updates in Google Play Store settings
  4. Go through the configuration bar again and this time select "My applications and games"
  5. Try updating the applications manually, but if it doesn't work, stop all updates.
  6. Go to the second "INSTALLED" tab and check that some downloads must be pending and will be blocked. Stop downloading and installing applications.
  7. Cancel those blocked applications and then try to update and download the application again.
