iPhone app alternatives for iPhone
You can edit your account options in the Settings> Accounts and Passwords menu in iOS 11 Settings> Mail> Accounts in iOS 10 and earlier.
Touch the pointer to the far right of the Yahoo account and you can change whether or not you want to access Mail, Calendars, Contacts, Reminders or Notes. This is also the screen where you can choose to delete the account from the iOS Mail app.
Next, in the account name at the top, meet the arrow to the far right to view the account name and email address connected with the account. You can change the account information or change the settings of the outgoing SMTP server, although these are usually configured automatically.
You can also access Advanced Settings to set mailbox behavior and indicate where you can move deleted messages and how often to remove deleted messages.
If you have any problems with sending mail at the exit, check the settings of the SMTP server. While these should go uninterrupted from Yahoo to the iPhone mail, incorrect SMTP settings can be the source of the difficulty.
Stop Yahoo Mail on iPhone Mail AppIf you don’t want to view more inbound messages from Yahoo Mail in your iPhone Mail app, you have a few choices. You can go to the Accounts screen in the Settings> Accounts and Passwords menu in iOS 11 ( Settings> Mail> Accounts in iOS 10 and earlier) and enable Yahoo Mail in Off. The account is still registered in your mailbox list in the mail application with the inactive word below it.
Delete a Yahoo account from the Mail app
On the corresponding screen, you can delete your Yahoo account from the Mail app. At the bottom of the screen, click Delete Account. When you touch it, get a warning that deleting your account will remove calendars, reminders, and contacts from your iPhone imported from the Yahoo account. At this time, you can choose to delete the account from your iPhone or cancel the operation.
