Step 1: For your device download the latest firmware

I. Download the newest firmware from the ASUS Official support site

Step 2: Find the device IP address

For Windows OS users

I. Access the support page and click the option 'Driver& Tools.'

II. Download the ASUS Device Discovery tool.

III. From the downloaded ZIP file, extract the contents. In the folder, you can find the Discovery.exe file.

IV. Run the Discovery.exe file.

V. The InstallShield Wizard will complete the installation of the ASUS Wireless Router Device Discovery Utility tool on your computer.

VI. Click the tool icon when the installation is finished to view your device's IP address

Step 3: Firmware upload

  1. In the browser, you need to enter the IP address of your device.
  2. Enter your username as well as password to login to your ASUS networking device.

  1. Once you logged in to the networking device of ASUS, tap the 'Firmware Version' number on the top.
  2. Select 'Choose File' on the Upgrade page.
  3. Choose the unzipped firmware.trx file extracted under Step 1(II)

Click the 'Open' at the right bottom corner.
