Necessity of FSSC 22000 Certification

Consumers not only want to know where their food comes from, but they are also very concerned about food safety. The global distribution of food products to meet the ever-increasing needs of the masses means that food chains are turning to longer and more complex businesses than ever before. The rapid and widespread increase has increased the risk of food safety hazards.

To improve food security and address issues raised by manufacturers, retailers, retailers and consumers. On a global scale, the ISO 22000 provides a definition of a global food security system across the supply chain. In the food production and packaging industry, the FSSC 22000 provides the required construction details to the ISO 22000 and meets the standards set by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) Guidance.

The FSSC 22000 incorporates the following functions within the food package:

  • Visible animal products
  • Potential plant products,
  • Long shelf life products at low temperatures,
  • (Bio) Chemistry,
  • Feeding and feeding animals (produce), as well
  • Food processing (food containers for direct and indirect contact).

The FSSC 22000 incorporates many other food safety guidelines approved by GFSI and integrates them in one way or another. It is a business management tool that effectively integrates food security with business processes.

The FSSC 22000 requires organizations to analyse customer needs, define processes, and demonstrate consistent risk-identified control - updating and improving the system to adapt to changes in policy, requirements, or principles. It provides real value to the organization regardless of size or complexity and sets the playing field for retailers and consumers across the food chain and around the world.

FSSC 22000 is a complete food safety management system (FSMS) because:

  • Based on the FSSC 22000 Certification system management system, therefore the audit method is consistent with other management systems;
  • You can easily be integrated with your existing management
  • a system, similar to high-quality, environmental management systems;
  • Includes international and independent ISO 22000: 2005 standards and PRPs, Hazard Analysis and Crazy Control Points (HACCP), and its implementation measures as set out in the Codex Alimentarius Guidelines, as well as additional requirements regarding service specifications, specific requirements. management, installation management, and oversight of food safety related activities;
  • Approved by GFSI;
  • Controlling/reducing food safety risks and promoting continuous improvement in food safety practices;
  • Promotes legal compliance;
  • Increases exposure throughout the food supply chain; and
  • It allows smaller and/or less developed organizations to use an external built-in system.

In addition, the FSSC 22000 has an operational update system that will monitor the performance of all certification components to ensure that they meet certain FSSC requirements. Global Manager Group offers ready to use FSSC 22000 (Version 5) Documents for food safety system certification that helps an organization to implement a preventive system to ensure very safe production of the food products.
