Education systems in India:
Education is the right of every child. It is not only a right but it is mandatory for every child. By educating a child it is easy to imbibe many qualities along with knowledge. All the Governments have made it compulsory that every child should go to school. If we want to take a school admission for our child it always becomes difficult to choose which school and what board of education to choose. In India there are many boards of education for a child to complete his/her schooling. The school admission of the child can be done based on the interests of the child and further dreams of the child.
Some of the education systems available are as follows:
1. CBSE:
Central Board Of Secondary Education (CBSE) is a national level of education available in India. The board functions are controlled and managed by the Union Government of India. There are numerous CBSE schools around, actually we can find many top CBSE schools around. They usually conduct board exams for class 10th and class 12th students while focussing mainly upon maths and science subjects. The minimum percentage required to pass these exams is 33% in both practical and theory. The education mainly focuses upon giving importance to theoretical knowledge.
To find the CBSE schools at the place we live is not a difficult task, just by searching CBSE schools around me or top CBSE schools around me gives a lot of information regarding the schools available around one. If one’s parent does a job which includes transfers then the best education to opt is for CBSE. For example a parent got transferred from pune to Thane then he or she can migrate their child from CBSE schools available in pune to CBSE school available in Thane. For example the parent can transfer their child from Indo Scots global school in pune to Indo Scots global school in Thane Irrespective of the place CBSE follows the same curriculum.
The biggest advantage for a child when they read CBSE syllabus is that major competitive exams in India like IIT-JEE (Indian joint Entrance exam) AIEEE( All India Engineering Entrance Exam), AIPMT( All India Premedical Test) follow CBSE syllabus.
2. ICSE:
Indian Certificate For Secondary Education (ICSE) is conducted by the council for the Indian School Certification in India which is a private board in India. The main objective of ICSE is to provide quality education through practical approach. The syllabus of ICSE board covers all fields and gives importance to all subjects.
The minimum pass percentage is 40% in each subject and it mainly conducts board exams in 10th class. For class 12th the Indian school certificate is issued along with conduction of board examinations. This board has wide recognition all over India and even abroad.
The english standards of ICSE education are so high that cracking the entrance exams with English is like icing on cake. Exams like TOPEL can be easily cracked by the students because the standards of English followed by ICSE are Cambridge standards.
3. SSC:
Secondary School Certificate is a state board exam conducted by a specific state as per their guidelines. The examples that are defined in the curriculum are specific to state. The grading methodology also differs between states along with different syllabus incurred in their curriculum. All the states usually conduct the board exams for classes 10th and 12th with a pass percentage usually as 40%, but sometimes differs based on the state.
Undergoing education in SSC will help students to crack the exams that are held within the state like EAMCET or TCET. It is very easy for people who are planning to take entrance exams of engineering and medical entrance exams in the state. SSC education also helps a child to learn about their culture and language more than compared with other boards.
Conclusion :
The above mentioned are some of the important boards that are present in India. The choice of board should depend on the liking of the child and on what he or she wants to do in future. It is mandatory that the school admission of your child gives them what they need. It is our duty to make sure that the schools one chooses help the child to get the knowledge required by them along with all round development. "Education is the right of every child but providing them with the right education is our responsibility."
