Margot Robbie is Eager to Watch the Ayer Cut

When fans’ relentless demand for the "Snyder Cut" was successfully met by the DC studio, many were wondering whether we would see the Ayer version of the 2016 film Suicide Squad.

The film was heavily trimmed in the post-production, and we never got to see what David Ayer had imagined for the film. Ayer gave an interview right after we heard that Zack Snyder is remaking his version of the Justice League in which we heard him say that an "Ayer Cut" would be much easier to make as compared to the "Snyder Cut" and it would be a positive experience for him as he would finally get to tell the story in a way he had imagined it. The director remarked that his film was unfairly treated, and the film we saw in theaters back in 2016 was not the film he intended to make.

"It would be extremely cathartic for me," he was quoted as saying.

However, David Ayer recently shoved off all the rumors that his original version of the film would also be heading towards HBO Max following the Justice League’s footsteps. Nevertheless, the demand for the "Ayer Cut" is still intact among the fans, and even the actors who did their respective parts in the film are quite excited about the "Ayer Cut."

The star of the original film Margot Robbie has recently expressed her opinion about the "Ayer Cut." She did that when she sat down for an interview with Josh Horowitz on his podcast titled Happy Sad Confused podcast. The Harley Quinn actress admitted that she has never seen the Ayer cut, and she is well aware that a lot of scenes they shot never made their way to the final cut. She added that she would like to see the full version of the film.

Robbie was quite diplomatic when she was asked for her reactions towards including Jared Leto in the upcoming Justice League miniseries. She responded to the question by saying that she had no idea about it.

"Cool," that’s all she had to say.

Many things were leaked about the original plans that Ayer had about the film, including a final page from the script, which gave us clues that there was a final scene in which Joker had to work with Enchantress (played by Cara Delevingne). Ayer had acknowledged way back that there was indeed a scene like that which was duly shot and edited, but unfortunately, it was removed in the final cut.

While there is uncertainty hovering over the "Ayer Cut," you can enjoy "Snyder Cut," aka Zack Snyder’s Justice League when it would arrive on HBO Max on September the 5th, 2020.
