The SEBI Grade A exam is one of the premier job entrance exams of India. Clearing this exam a candidate gets to occupy the post of a SEBI Grade A officer.

The job profile of such officers normally includes creating policies and regulations pertaining to stocks & equity, mutual funds, as well as maintaining market prices.

SEBI Grade A (general stream) syllabus and exam pattern:

The SEBI Grade A syllabus is a formidable one. The SEBI Grade A exam tests you in three phases, namely phase 1,2, and 3. The first phase contains objective type questions from the subjects of General Awareness, English Language, Reasoning Ability, Quantitative Aptitude, and Awareness about Securities Market.

Phase 2 contains descriptive questions from the subject of English and objective type questions from the topics of Securities Market, and Economic & Social Issues and Finance & Management. The third phase is the personal interview round.

SEBI Grade A (general stream) Eligibility:

If you want to appear for the SEBI Grade A exam, you'd need to make sure that you belong to the 21-30 years old age bracket. Also, you should hold a Master’s degree in any discipline, OR Bachelor’s degree in Law / Engineering OR Chartered Accountant / Company Secretary / Chartered Financial Analyst / Cost & Work Accountant, not to mention that you should be a graduate from a university recognized by the Indian government.
