There are even ways of making these clay beads. Tutorials and how-to videos everywhere on the internet are demonstrating how to make clay beads. You need a certain cutting tool, air-dry clay (some people use a pre-made cane one), paints, brushes, paper towels (if the work gets too messy), newspaper (as a working surface) and that’s it. Once you assemble all these items you follow these rules:
- Take out the desired amount of clay from the box.
- Put it in a plate or bowl.
- Take small amount in your fingers and shape it in a bead.
- Shape it in the form you want. It could be a heart or a sphere.
- Take more clay and shape another until you are done with the desired number of beads.
- Place them on a tray of metal that can be put in the oven or even the sun, but make a hole in each bead with a thin nail when they are still soft.
- Then bake the bead. You can place it in the oven for 10 minutes at 200 C, or you could just leave it for a good 3 or 4 hours in the sun.
- Paint the beads any color(s) you want. After that apply glosser so as to make it shine and avoid the paint wearing off.
And you’re done. Now you can make as many of decoration items as you want with these little gems. Get a strong string to work its way into the beads and here you go. Now the skill is in your hands and design in your mind to go creative with your little beads. These clay beads are best for making macramé decoration pieces and cheap charms.
