Boot into BIOS Settings to Disable Fast Startup

  2. After that, input ‘Group Policy’ into it and select the OK button to invoke the ‘Edit group policy.’
  3. You should go to the ‘Computer Configuration’ option.
  4. Then choose the ‘Administrative Templates’ option.
  5. Navigate to the ‘System’ option, then select the ‘Shutdown’ button.
  6. Reach the ‘Require use of fast startup’ and right-click on it, then select the Edit option.
  7. Don’t forget to select either ‘Not configured’ or ‘Disabled’ for Fast Startup to be reachable in local settings.
  8. You should verify changes and go to the ‘Power Options’ and click on it.
  9. Go to the ‘Choose what power buttons do’ option and then reach the ‘Change settings that are currently unavailable,’ then turn off the Fast Startup.
  10. If you adjust it to Enabled, then the Fast Boot will be turned on by standard, and you will not be capable of turning it off from the System settings.

Look If Hibernation is Turned on to Disable Fast Startup

  1. Go to the Windows Search and input ‘command’ into it to invoke the Command Prompt.
  2. Then select the Command Prompt, and right-click on it then perform it as admin.
  3. Once you reach the command line, input the pursuing line, then hit the Enter key.
  4. Now, shut the Command Prompt, then turn off Fast Startup via the Windows UI.

Run DISM and SFC to Disable Fast Startup

  1. Go to the Windows Search, input ‘cmd’ into it, and select the OK button to invoke the Command Prompt.
  2. Then select the Command Prompt, and right-click on it then run it as an administrator.
  3. Once you reach the command line, input ‘sfc /scannow’ into it and hit the Enter key.
  4. After that, copy each line and hit the Enter button:
  5. DISM /online /Cleanup-Image / ScanHealth
  6. DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

  2. Now, reboot the system.
