There were previous rumors stating, Carrie Underwood and her husband Mike Fisher were arguing over wanting to start a family. Now it looks like the two have settled and are finally ready to welcome their newest addition as they recently announced that they are expecting their first child together.

While the couple prepare for their child, the "How Great Thou Art" singer is preparing for other big projects and appearances such as hosting the CMAs. The country singer dishes on the awards show and how she will dress her growing baby bump.

Underwood, who is co-hosting the Country Music Association Awards with Brad Paisley on Nov. 5, made an appearance on "Late Night With Seth Meyer" where she talked about the upcoming gig.

"This is your seventh time hosting the award show together, but this is the first time you are doing it pregnant. Congratulations," said the talk-show host to Underwood.

"Thank you, yes, thank you very much," replied Underwood before Meyer added that "costume changes seem to be a huge part" of the show, which brought up the question: Will Underwood be dressing any differently now that she is pregnant?

"Um, I dunno. I definitely have outfit ADD, like I can’t stay in the same one. We’ll see, we’re figuring that out in within the next couple days," said Underwood.

"Could you carry that burden if she can’t?" replied Meyer to Paisley.

"Oh yeah, I’l just change every five minutes," joked Paisley. "Nobody cares what I will wear at all."

Although Underwood is only sporting a very tiny baby bump, she expressed her excitement for the arrival of her baby on "The View" Monday morning and shared that she’s "due in the spring." The singer also admitted that she has a few parenting concerns as she prepares for the birth of her child, but with a nice smile, she simply stated she is preparing for "just being responsible for a tiny human."

While they don't know whether they're having a boy or a girl, Underwood and her husband Mike Fisher are holding off on setting up the nursery.

However, the mother-to-be has started gathering some essentials for her baby with some online shopping.

"I bought a few books online - kids books and stuff - that I grew up with. Just little things. But we’re kind of waiting to see if it’s a he or a she," said Underwood.

Underwood admits that her pregnancy is going well and that she feels "really good. I think I’ve been really lucky in my symptoms thus far. It’s still strange to honestly wrap my head around it, as I’m sure it is with all pregnant people. But it’s exciting."

Underwood previously admitted that she is still having trouble believing that she is pregnant.

"It’s still kind of weird, to be honest," said Underwood on the Today show. "Sometimes I’ll be with my husband and I’m like, ‘I’m going to be a mom. You’re going to be a dad. Like, is this real life?’ But we’re really excited."

While this is Underwood’s first child, her and Fisher won’t be alone in raising the child.

"I have a wonderful mother, so if I can be even a little bit like her, I think we’ll be good," said Underwood.

The former "American Idol" winner announced her pregnancy in an Instagram picture of her two dogs saying, "In honor of ‘Labor’ Day, Ace & Penny would like to make an announcement. Their parents couldn’t be happier..."

In the photo, Underwood’s dogs are sporting adorable outfits that read "I’m going to be a BIG BROTHER" and "I’m going to be a BIG SISTER."
