AAC Blocks were invented in the middle of the 1920s. It is invented by the Sweden architect named Dr. John Axel Eriksson. He had completed this invention by working with Professor Henrik Kreuger. The place where they work together is the Royal Institute of Technology. It was first patented in 1924. The very first production of AAC Blocks started in 1929 in Sweden in the city of Yxhult. AAC products can be used in both interior and exterior construction. It can also be painted and coated with plaster compounds. In AAC Blocks, where?AAC’ stands for ( Autoclay Aerated Concrete ). Precisely, these blocks are very light in weight, precast and foam concrete building material suitable for producing (CMU) like blocks.?CMU’ basically means ( Concrete Masonry Unit ). It is a kind of lightweight block made from gypsum, lime, cement, water and aluminum powder, and quartz sand. AAC Blocks are very light in weight. In spite of having lightweight, these blocks are incredibly stronger than ordinary bricks. AAC Blocks are prepared in very extreme heat and pressure in an autoclave. As we all know the foundation is the lowest part of the building and it is directly in contact with the earth's body. So, that it can transfer the load to the soil. AAC Blocks can be used in the foundation of the house or buildings due to their higher strength and endurance. AAC shows that when using AAC blocks instead of traditional bricks there is cost-saving up to 30%. when the building structure designed using aac blocks is more cost-effective as compared to traditional red bricks. AAC block is a long-lasting product or another hand is a durable product because aac block is made up of quality raw material which is not effective in any condition like from Rain, Heat, Cold and other climatic condition in another hand traditional red brick firstly is not long-lasting as compared to AAC blocks and after sometime red bricks get destroyed and demanding renovation but AAC block is durable there is no effect up to 30 years after installation.

Advantages of AAC Blocks:-

*It improved the thermal efficiency reduces the heating and cooling load in buildings.

*It is fire resistance.

*Good workability with some qualities like easy to sawn, accurate cutting, which decrease the solid

waste on the construction site.

It also has a resource efficiency lower impact on the environmental phases and its life cycle.

Having lightweight saves cost price and energy while transportation.

The labor expenses are decreased and increase the chance of survival while seismic activities.

The larger the size of the block is the easier and faster masonry work will become.

It can be handled easily.

It has better ventilation as compared to ordinary bricks. The reason behind good ventilation is that these aac blocks are very light and allow the diffusion of water.

AAC Blocks decrease the humidity inside the building. It absorbs moisture and releases humidity to prevent condensation and other problems.

There are no toxic gases and other toxic substances in autoclaved aerated concrete.

We can say that aac blocks are long-lasting because it has no effect on harsh climates and extreme weather temperature changes. AAC Blocks will not be degraded in normal climate changes.

Conclusion

AAC Block fulfills the basic need of construction in the case of strength, durability, long-lasting and costing AAC Lightweight blocks are a time-saving product after the foundation of the building if red bricks take six months to complete the project. AAC block completes the work in just three to four months with super finishing and cost-saving. It is a type of product which looks very nice because of its fine finishing. This product is a perfect fit in every basic point of view in construction. Using AAC Lightweight Block customers never get disappointed using this product.
