Will and Mac get engaged in The Newsroom Season 2 finale, and spoiler reports are saying the two will be talking bridesmaids in the new season premiere. This conversation happens in-between the Boston story newsroom discussions.

"Meanwhile, an anonymous source contacts Neal about stolen government documents that may be related to overseas riots, Sloan looks into a possible takeover, and Maggie subs for Elliot following the Boston Marathon bombings," ends The Newsroom Season 3 premiere synopsis on TV.com.

Neal (Dev Patel) is manning the social media channels in connection to the Boston marathon bombing in the new season premiere. Sloan (Olivia Munn), meanwhile, has a bigger part in The Newsroom Season 3, says a RollingStone report. The promo video shows Sloan acting evasive when Don (Thomas Sadoski) asks about their dating status.

Maggie (Alison Pill) subbing for Elliott (David Harbour) is good news for the character, whose dynamic growth from The Newsroom Season 1 is one of the main arcs of the series. She fights her inner demons in Season 2, and this time it's not just about her romantic entanglements. In Season 3, viewers expect more signs of growth from Maggie.
