It was a Sunday morning and I was enjoying my Sunday by watching TV after all I pay monthly subscriptions for the cable which I barely get to watch during week days due to shortage of time and plenty of work. Suddenly the door bell rang and I unwillingly got up from my sofa and opened the door. There was a girl maybe of 10-12 years old standing with a cute smile which was so mesmerizing that anyone can forgo all the worries after looking at the smiling face of the little girl.
"Our football has gone into your house so if you can please give it back to us we can continue our game." The girl urged for her football.
The voice of the girl was as sweet as her smile and it was so sweet that I went down on my knees and asked her "What is your name, princess?"
"My name is Tina and by the way I’m not your princess." The girl was firm on her tone.
I thought to play along childish with Tina and asked her "Why can’t you be my princess?"
"I’m the princess of my papa and nobody other than him calls me princess as I like being addressed by my name only by others." The firmness grew a bit stronger so I thought to change the topic and asked her. "You are a girl and I’ve barely seen girls playing football."
"I love football and it is my favorite game." Tina’s smile was back at its place.
"Ok, but why not dolls as all the girls love playing with dolls and the doll house." I asked Tina.
"I don’t know but I love football and it is my favorite game." Tina repeated.
Her statement got me laughing the way she said I don’t know and kept on repeating her love for her favorite game.
I liked the conversation and I thought to continue it so I asked her "I’ve never seen you before here so where do you stay?"
"We have recently shifted here and I stay in the next house." She said.
"Oh, you are my neighbor, I did not know about it." It raised my inquisitiveness.
"Yes, now can you please give my football back as I barely have enough time left to play." Tina forcefully tried to enter my house for seeking her football. I allowed her and she straight way went towards the back side of my house and I followed her.
"Tina, today is Sunday and your school must be closed today so why you have only little time to play?" I generally enquired for the sake of continuation of our lovely conversation.
"Doctor has advised me to play for only half an hour every day and you wasted my five minutes." She picked up her football and went toward the exit of my house.
