PEI Express Entry - Prince Edward Island PNP

PEI express entry is the fastest way to immigrate to one of the smallest provinces of Canada in terms of area and population. This province is known for its natural beauty, Canadian culture, excellent education system, and, most importantly, Canadian history. This province is one of the favourite destinations for immigrants because of its strong economy that is based on tourism, agriculture, and fishing. This province gives priority to those immigrants who have the intention of starting their own business in the province and skilled workers who are ready to work in those areas where the shortage of labour is high.

PEI PNP Categories

The Prince Edward Island’s PNP has some categories through which immigrants receive nominee after meeting all the eligibility criteria. Followings are the categories fall under PEI Express Entry PNP:

  • Labour Impact Category

    • This category provides a pathway to Canada PR for skilled workers and recently graduated and looking forward to immigrate Prince Edward Island permanently. This category has 3 streams:

  • Skilled Worker Stream

    • This stream is for highly skilled workers who are eligible and identified by an employer of Prince Edward Island. Candidates who fall under this category are eligible for O, A, and B skilled level job. Followings are the requirements to be eligible for this stream:

  • Candidates should have a valid job offer letter from an employer of Prince Edward Island of high skilled jobs.
  • Candidate’s age should be between 18 to 59.
  • Candidate must have completed their graduation or diploma.
  • Candidate have at least 2 years of work experience in last 5 years.
  • Critical Worker Stream

    • This category provides a pathway to permanent residency for those semi-skilled workers who are not eligible enough to immigrate via Express Entry. Candidates who fall under this category are eligible for C and D skilled level jobs. Following are the requirements for this category:

  • Candidate’s age must be between 18 to 59.
  • Candidates must have worked for 6 months at least for an employer of PEI.
  • A valid job offer is required from PEI employer.
  • A valid work permit and legal status in Canada is required.
  • Secondary Education is minimum required.
  • Minimum CLB 4 is required in language proficiency is required.
  • International Graduate Stream

    • This category is for foreign students who are recently graduated from a recognized university or college on Prince Edward Island. Candidates who have a valid post-graduate work permit can take the advantage of this stream to get the Canada PR. Following are the requirements to be eligible for this stream:

  • A candidate must have graduated from a government university or college on Prince Edward Island.
  • A job offer letter is required for O, A, and B-level jobs.
  • Candidates should be between 18 to 59.
  • A valid work permit is required, if they are currently working in Canada.
  • Business Impact Category

    • This category is for those businessmen or entrepreneurs who are willing to invest in an existing business or start their own business in Prince Edward Island. This stream gives priority to those business owners or entrepreneurs who are highly experienced and ready to create job opportunities for the citizens of the province. The following are the requirements to be eligible for this stream:

  • Candidates should have a comprehensive business plan.
  • A candidate should have a net worth of more than CAD 600,000.
  • Candidates should have score 4 CLB in language proficiency.
  • PEI PNP Express Entry

    • This category is for skilled immigrants who have shown interest in settling and working permanently in Canada. To receive the nomination from this province, candidates need to meet all the express entry eligibility criteria and they should have relevant skills and work experience in the occupation that is in demand in PEI. The benefits any candidate can get while immigrating through this program is they will get 600 points automatically after receiving a nomination from the province.

    What is the procedure?

    The process of PEI Express Entry fully works on Expression of Interest (EOI). The first thing a candidate needs to do is create an express entry profile by providing all the required information.

    Once the profile is created, candidates need to submit their profile to an express entry pool. In this pool, candidates get points and are ranked based on the PEI Express Entry ranking system. Whoever ranked high by getting maximum points in the PEI Express Entry draw is eligible to get a nomination from the province.

    To accept a provincial nomination, successful candidates must log in to their IRCC online account. All the candidates who receive a nomination from the province will get 600 points automatically which will help to increase their chances to get an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Canada PR. After receiving the ITA candidates need to submit their application within the given period and after 6 months they will get their Canada PR.
