Overview of the Itinerary
You arrive in Kathmandu on the first day of your program and drive to Bhaktapur, an old artistic town. On the second day, we'll drive to Namobuddha and spend the night. On the third day of our walk, we will travel from Namobudda to Timbu (1580m) and spend the night. The fifth day of the journey would be a sixhour hike from Timbu to Tarkeghyang (2600m). We will arrive in Shermathang (2621m), Ama Yangri on the sixth day of our 05-hour journey. The next day, we will hike back and travel to Kathmandu. On day eight, we will go sightseeing in Kathmandu and offer a goodbye dinner. The departure date is September 9. The Ama Yangri Trip is not a challenging trek.
DifficultyThis is a medium-difficult journey because the way to the top is nearly vertical. The path is also slick. Aside from that, the track is smooth and enjoyable to explore. You should bring drinking water and dried fruits, as well as suitable walking shoes. If you are not Nepali, you will need to obtain extra licenses to reach this region.
