Don’t like the PROXY word coming on your desktop screen while opening Face book in college. Here is the way to skip the proxy and do whatever you want to do without letting anyone know. So here’s the process of creating a VPN (Virtual Private Network).

What is VPN?

VPN connection allows users to privately share information between remote locations. It encrypts the data and hence preventing unauthorized persons from reading the information transmitted. Secure VPN’s cryptographic tunneling protocols to provide confidentiality. A VPN user typically experiences the central network in a manner that is identical to being connected directly to the central network.

So now the question arises, how this is helping us?

When we type facebook.com or any other website that is blocked by our college, a VPN connection allows us to make a tunnel between our browser and the website server we are requesting. Our college server does get the details of the website we trying to access but in encrypted form which our college can’t decrypt. So we are actually accessing the blocked websites.

What else you could do?

You can hide IP address in any program used, unblock Skype, surf anonymous in all browsers, PROTECT AGAINST HACKERS, send anonymous emails, bypass government, workplace, ISP imposed filters and blocks, protect from password sniffers with L2TP/IPSec VPN encrypted account in Wi-Fi spots, post messages on banned forums, hide your IP in chat, and much more.

How to make a VPN connection?

Step 1: Go to CONTROL PANEL and click on NETWORK and SHARING CENTRE.

Step 2: Click on Set up a new connection.

Step 3: Click on "Connect to a workplace" and then click on next.

Step 4: Then opt for your existing connection.

Step 5: Enter the IP address you have. And don’t forget to click on "don’t connect now".

Step 6: Enter the USERNAME and PASSWORD.

Now we can get the Username, Password and IP address from some VPN provider. Yes, you need to loosen up your pocket.
