Where To Donate Furniture in Sydney

Author: Jennifer Lee

Are you looking to move overseas? Perhaps you’re looking at relocating interstate to another Australian state? If so, you should look at donating your unneeded furniture to people who need it most, while also making you move lighter and quicker!

It’s common that we all have belongings that we no longer need when we are moving. Hidden in many parts of our home are items that we once thought were valuable, only to have found them now and have absolutely no use for them.

Donating your items to a reputable Sydney charity is crucial to repurposing items and giving them new homes. If your belongings (not only furniture) are still in good condition and usable, then we highly recommend you donate them to real people in need. It will save you financially from having to store them, or pay for moving them with you.

At Paul's Rubbish Removal Sydney, we've compiled and highlighted the many different charities in Sydney that will accept your donated goods below.

St Vincent de Paul Society

Commonly known as ‘St Vinnies’ in Australia, the St Vincent de Paul Society is one of the most well-known charities in the country and around the world.

Originally founded by a young French gentleman in his 20s, the local charity has gained enormous popularity and traction to now being able to make an impactful contribution in all types of societies.

You can easily find a St Vincent de Paul donation bin or goodwill ship across all suburbs of Sydney.

We encourage all donors who are considering donating to St Vincent de Pauls to only donate items that are clearly reusable and haven’t been damaged, stained or broken.

Many of these items will be passed onto people who are looking to rebuild their lives in a dignified manner.

We Encourage Donations

Every piece of successfully donated item counts as a victory for humanity. Before donating any unwanted item, we encourage you to think about and envision the person who is receiving it. It goes without saying that every person who has received a donation, accepts every item with grace.

Additionally, like we mentioned earlier, most donated items are going to Australians who are seeking to rebuild their lives in a dignified way. They will require clothing and household essentials where they are able to use cleanly and efficiently.

With that said, we encourage all people living in Sydney or Australia to always consider giving first. Together, we can make a difference in changing real Australian lives.
