Carretilla expands its microwavable meals with three new recipes
Carretilla, a leading Spanish Group brand in asparagus and ready-to-eat dishes in a microwavable container, is expanding its menu of ready-to-eat dishes with new launches that combine traditional flavors with new trends and current consumer demands.
"The current situation due to the pandemic has modified the way people consume food. Consumers are increasingly concerned about eating better, especially valuing those traditional recipes, which often, due to lack of time or know-how, they cannot cook," says Susana Fernández, marketing director of Grupo Alimentario IAN.
"With our new launches, we want to offer consumers a variety of traditional flavors and recipes, but with a distinctive touch, to enjoy a gourmet dining experience, without having to leave home," he adds.
With these new additions, the ‘Carretilla' ready meals add up to more than 70 recipes to choose from, positioning themselves as one of the brands that are driving the most in the ready meals category.
'Carretilla' expands its variety with three new references, which add up to a total of 17 different recipes in the category. In this way, the brand consolidates itself as the leader of the meat dishes market in ambiente, growing by 39% in value, as indicated by the company.
This time, the brand is introducing three new options: the beef ragout (with Port and Parisian potatoes, with a RRP of € 3.99), the braised chicken breast (with potatoes and cheese sauce, with a RRP of € 2.99) and the pork tenderloin (with Parisian potatoes and Port sauce, € 3.99).
'Carretilla' also leads the pasta dishes category in ambiente, with a growth in value during the last year of 11.4%. The brand reinforces its range of ready-made pasta dishes with a recipe such as macaroni with chorizo in tomato sauce. This new launch joins others in the pasta dish family, which already includes macaroni bolognese, macaroni carbonara, vegetable and soy lasagna or meat cannelloni, among others.
All the novelties of this year in the ready-made dishes 'Carretilla' are presented in the format of an individual portion on a microwavable tray, completely ready to heat and taste. In addition, they do not need cold for conservation and have an expiration date of 1 year.
