SMC, the world’s leading provider of precision pneumatics, has completed its popular CRB2-Z series with an upgraded version of its free mount, vane type CRBU2-Z rotary actuator. The CRBU2-Z rotary actuator has a broader range of mounting and positioning options thanks to its clever, lightweight construction; delivering improved product performance and functionality. It is incredibly easy to mount due to the tapped holes and the through holes in the body of the actuator via the mounting flange, leading to labor cost savings.
In addition, the rotary section and flange have been constructed separately, thus offering multiple choices for positioning between the mounting flange and the rotary section. With these refined features, the CRBU2-Z series shares the same characteristics as the basic CRB2-Z series. These features in rotary actuator include the ability to directly mount both an auto switch unit and an angle adjustment unit; plus a double vane construction that doubles the torque. It also has a parallel piping which can be side-ways or axially ported. This makes CRBU2-Z an ideal choice for a range of applications including those within small spaces, robotics, material handling, rotary motion, clamp applications and product deviation.
