Clocking in Machines for Workforce and Time Management

Author: Simon Lomax

Clocking in systems are utilised in time management, where any aspect of any business industry can use them so to get the value of the money they pay their workers in productivity. The clocking in machine works for all 3 work management patterns; shift work, flexi-time and 9 to 5. because when you have large enterprise businesses, it is still important to know who is present. In the majority of most organisations, work is paid based on the time that one has spent on his/her work station and hence a clocking system is utilised to compute the number of hours one has to be paid.

Types of Clocking in Machines

There are different kind of clocking systems for different setups. Most of the clocking system machines use unique features for security of their system such as:

Keycard: This is a machine which is issued with a key card which one uses to access the building and or departments thus without it, will prevent access.

Finger Print Technology: A more advanced clocking system which uses fingerprint technology. This is where the machine is fitted with gadget to read and recognise fingerprints. All the employees are required to use any of their fingers for identification to be allowed to the work station. There is a clocking system which uses both the fingerprint and the key card with RFID. Here, workers are instructed to swipe a keycard for identification and use the fingerprint to log in in the system. This system is more reliable as the data is accurate in showing the actual time one is in and out of the work.

Importance of Clocking In Machines

Clocking systems are used to organise shift and control access to restricted areas. The most efficient clocking system is the one that uses the biometric features such as facial identification algorithm; it encapsulates virtual position, size, shape of the eyes, nose of the worker uses and fingerprint technology. These particulars are compared with the features in the database when one logs on to register at any station, translating the captured data matching with those in the database eliminate variance. All this features are used to secure fair remuneration for the employees, time management, lowering cost and shift management that in case of any absence they can be ready replacement for smooth running of the job.

Multiple access clocking machines are used in security and public sector services to protect the business that only authorised personnel are allowed to access the secure zone.

Clocking machines can now be synchronised with the salaries or payroll software for computation of each and every worker salary and fair allocation of holidays and off duties. Proper time management ensures higher productivity and in return, high proceeds for the organisation.

Auto Time Systems whole heartedly believe in the saying "Time is Money". No business is perfect, but their are always improvements to be made. Do you know how much of your money is being wasted from your biggest outgoings?
