Yodha Run 2.0 – Run for Shelter
Yodha Run 2.0 has successfully concluded on February 8, 2026, in Vashi, Navi Mumbai. The event has brought together many runners, families, volunteers and changemakers for the cause. The event was organised by The Social Architects Foundation, with a moving reminder that sports can be a powerful force for social good for those who need it. The event was held under the theme "Run for Shelter" to support and expand Yodha Ghar, which provides accommodation, food and emotional care to cancer patients and their caregivers. The morning resonated with purpose as participants ran not just for fitness, but to help create a home of healing for families battling cancer.
All the registrations were handled by iFinish, the official registration partner. They ensured a smooth, well-organised experience for runners across all categories. The streamlined registration process allowed participants to focus on the cause and the collective mission behind the run. The event began in the early hours, with assembly from 5:00 AM and all categories were flagged off at 6:00 AM. The disciplined start and well-coordinated execution ensured a safe and engaging experience for all participants.
Yodha Run 2.0 featured multiple categories, encouraging participation across age groups and fitness levels:
- 2.5 KM Charity Run
- 5 KM Timed Run
- 10 KM Timed Run
- Donation for a Cause
These options allowed both serious runners and first-time participants to be part of the movement, reinforcing the event's inclusive spirit. The event atmosphere was filled with music, energy and community engagement. Finisher medals, certificates and refreshments have added more momentum to the event. The presence of volunteers and supporters symbolised unity. Participants proudly embraced the identity of being a "Yodha" (Warrior) running not only for personal achievement, but for those who need care, shelter and dignity during their toughest battles.
By supporting Yodha Ghar, the run has raised awareness about the challenges faced by cancer patients and people who travel for treatment and the lack of basic shelter and emotional support. A compassionate community can make a difference in the lives of those affected by illness.
With dedicated efforts from The Social Architects Foundation, seamless registrations powered by iFinish, and strong community participation, Yodha Run 2.0 – Run for Shelter concluded as a heartfelt success. The event left behind not just race memories, but a renewed sense of purpose, empathy and collective responsibility. As runners crossed the finish line, they carried forward a message far greater than medals or timings that together, as a community, we can run for shelter, run for hope and stand strong with those who need us the most.
