3 Reasons to Choose a New Mazda CX5 Maxx

Author: Sara Gibson

When buying a new car in previous years, the general advice was to choose a mid range spec. In the past, the base spec of any vehicle was basic, to say the least. However, when it comes to the new Mazda CX5 Perth drivers may be pleasantly surprised at what the Maxx variant can offer. Sales figures show that the Maxx specification accounts for 25% of new Mazda CX5 sales, with 80% of all sales being petrol variants. With approximately 60,000 units sold since 2012, the decision to buy Mazda CX5 models is a sensible one, but there are five great reasons why you should choose the Maxx variant.

Safety is a Priority:

Although the Maxx is the base spec model of the new Mazda CX5, Australia safety standards have not been compromised. With the Maxx variant of the Mazda CX5, Perth drivers can be assured of safety with a 5 star rating. The model features six airbags and you can also opt for the extra safety package, which provides Rear Cross Traffic Alerts, Blind Spot Monitoring and the low speed autonomous braking for just $1230.

Access to all the Gadgets:

With all variants of the Mazda CX5, Perth drivers can still have all of the latest gadgets and features. This includes the new Mazda MZD Connect. This feature was previously introduced on the All New Mazda 3. However, unlike the Mazda2 and Mazda3, the screen on the CX5 is integrated with the dash rather than floating above the dash. The screen is also a high resolution 7 inch with touch control, a Commander rotary dial and buttons for ultimate control. This has a more ergonomic aesthetic. Although the Maxx does not feature a satellite navigation system, the integrated Pandora, Stitcher and Aha internet radio apps does negate this somewhat. There is also a reverse view camera, Bluetooth streaming and 2 USB ports to allow gadget integration and satisfy any tech heads.

It Looks and Feels Great:

Many base model vehicles can feel a little lacking in aesthetics and performance. However, with the Maxx variant of the Mazda CX5, Perth drivers will easily forget this is the base spec model. The Maxx has a chunky steering wheel which feels comfortable and has button controls integrated. There is also a starter button rather than a key which immediately makes the Maxx feel like a higher spec vehicle. There is a great amount of legroom and headroom for all passengers and there are a number of features such as cup holders to keep everyone feeling comfortable. As with all the new Mazda CX5 models, there is over 400 litres of cargo space with the rear seats in place. However, when you take the rear seats down, this increases to over 1500 litres. Making the CX5 a practical choice.

In the current challenging economic climate, it can be tempting to cut corners when buying a new vehicle. However, when you buy Mazda CX5 Maxx variants, you can be assured of great value, performance and style.
